Dating IQ ("we", "us", or "our") is a science-based relationship assessment platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website and quiz, how we use it, where it is stored, and what rights you have over your data. We are committed to collecting only what is necessary to provide the service and to being transparent about every data practice described below.
Dating IQ is an online assessment product operated by its owner. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can contact us at the email address provided in Section 9 below.
We collect the minimum data required to operate the service. The table below describes every category of data we store, its source, and why we collect it.

We do not collect your IP address, device fingerprint, browsing history, or any behavioural tracking data. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party analytics scripts such as Google Analytics.
All data described in Section 2 is stored in a managed, encrypted database hosted on TiDB Cloud, a MySQL-compatible distributed database service operated by PingCAP. Your data resides on servers located in the United States (AWS us-east-1, Northern Virginia).
TiDB Cloud encrypts all data at rest using AES-256 and all data in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher. The database is not publicly accessible and requires authenticated, encrypted connections. PingCAP's data processing practices are governed by their Data Processing Agreement and comply with SOC 2 Type II standards.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc., which stores payment instrument data on PCI DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure. We never receive or store your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
We use the data we collect solely for the following purposes, and for no other purpose without your explicit consent:
Delivering the assessment
Your quiz responses are used to calculate your Dating IQ score and generate your free mini report immediately after quiz completion.
Generating your full report
If you purchase the premium report, your scores and response patterns are passed to a large language model to produce personalised insights. This processing occurs server-side; your data is not used to train any AI model.
Account and report history
Your account identity is used to associate your quiz attempts and reports with your account so you can access them again after logging in.
Payment confirmation
Payment records are retained to confirm that a premium report has been paid for and to handle any disputes or refund requests.
Service improvement
Aggregated, anonymised analytics events (e.g., quiz completion rates, score band distributions) are used to improve the assessment questions and platform experience. Individual responses are never shared.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. We share data only with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the platform:

No data is shared with advertisers, data brokers, social media platforms, or any other party not listed above.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Specifically:
Account data is retained until you request account deletion.
Quiz responses and scores are retained indefinitely to allow you to access your history, unless you request deletion.
Report content is retained to allow you to re-access purchased reports. It is deleted upon account deletion.
Payment records are retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping obligations, even after account deletion.
Analytics events are retained for up to 24 months and then permanently deleted.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data. We honour these rights for all users regardless of jurisdiction.
Right of access
Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
Right to rectification
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Right to erasure
Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to payment record retention obligations).
Right to portability
Request your quiz scores and report content in a machine-readable format.
Right to object
Object to the use of your data for analytics purposes.
Right to withdraw consent
Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 9. We will respond within 30 days. We will never charge a fee for a reasonable request.
Dating IQ is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, wish to exercise your data rights, or want to report a concern, please use the form below. We aim to respond within 5 business days and to fulfil all data subject requests within 30 calendar days.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify logged-in users via a notice on the platform. Continued use of Dating IQ after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
